The five passenger Envoy XUV, introduced in 2003, was an attempt to create a combination of SUV and van. It featured a retractable rear roof section that slid forward, giving a load-crowned. A 'MidGate "could be raised to the partition to the loading area off from the passenger compartment, which was a solid, the waist and lined with plastic panel with a retractable glass partition the upper half. The door Rear double track could hinge side or down, retracted the back door of solid glass in the back door. The cargo area was waterproofed and fitted with a drainage system, allowing it to be easily hosed down for cleaning.
