2011 peugeots bb1 concept pics

The Peugeot BB1 concept "One of the more relevant concepts of the show came in the form of the diminutive 2.5m long Peugeot BB1. The electric vehicle is a thoroughly modern proposition for the future, integrating Peugeot's history and knowledge of the two-wheeled motorbike sector to develop a highly functional four-seat vehicle. "The brief was to do a car that measured 2.5m and still fit four people inside," said Gilles Vidal, Chief Designer of Peugeot concept cars. "We had to compress the mechanicals, but also compress people and find ways to optimize the interior."" ---Car design news. The BB1 looks as if something has gone awry with the exterior. It looks weird in terms of proportions and the way the A pillar is inclined to the roof. Besides, it could have been a two seater as it gives a feeling of cramped legroom at the back.

2010 Fiat 500 European version pics

Australian supermodel and world’s hottest 46-year-old Elle Macpherson took delivery of the very first 2010 Fiat 500 Convertible available to the public and certainly didn’t waste any time showing the world its low-riding top.

Apparently, the fabric-topped runabout holds a special appeal to Ms. Macpherson, who has said “I love the Fiat 500c, it has that sexy, cool, Italian thing going on!” Yes, it certainly does, and so does that well placed celebrity endorsement from arguably the most successful supermodel of all time. Leading South Carolina dealer Volvo of Charleston is proud to announce the arrival of the all-new 2011 Volvo S60. As the first sequel to the original S60 of a decade ago, this fully revamped model incorporates the safety, practicality, and peace of mind inherent in all Volvos, but has been conceived under a new philosophy and infused with a fresh attitude.

The 2011 S60 comes charging out of the gate with a 300-horsepower, 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine powering all four wheels, amounting to history’s most blazing fast Volvo to date. Coupled with tenacious, low-profile 18-inch tires and wheels, big disc brakes, and a choice of three suspensions (including Volvo’s all-electronic FOUR-C Active Chassis), the new S60 amounts to an awesome-performing sports sedan that shows off a new side of Volvo — the naughty side.

Yet this Volvo also demonstrates how naughtiness can coexist with safety, luxury, and personal responsibility. All S60s come with electronic climate control, a High Performance Audio System with HD Radio and Aux & USB inputs, Bluetooth, a Driver Control Interface with a 7-inch screen, and leather seating. The S60’s occupants can feel secure in the presence of six airbags, antilock brakes, stability control, and Volvo’s exclusive protection systems against whiplash (WHIPS) and side-impacts (SIPS). Likewise, Volvo’s new City Safety system can proactively hit the brakes when an object is approaching too fast, while the company’s new Pedestrian Detection system aids driver braking to help save the lives of those around you.

The new S60 is readily available at Volvo of Charleston, your best resource in South Carolina for new Volvos, used cars, Volvo servicing and parts, and special offers.

2010 Lincoln MKT interior

2010 Lincoln MKT wallpaper

The three-row crossover segment has exploded in recent years, with nearly every automaker releasing a family-hauler that's neither an SUV nor a minivan. Lincoln's all-new MKT is neither of those things, and it sure doesn't look like it wants to play nice, with a giant grille that's less Cheshire cat and more snarling lion.

The radical looks don't end there. The MKT has a single, thin taillight breaking up the rear hatch, which is surprisingly elegant. Overall, the shape is much more SUV than the Ford Flex's boxy, minivan-ish look. If you can't tell, the MKT and Flex share a platform and many features, like the optional second-row dual seats with a fridge between them.

The interior reminds us a lot of the new Lincoln MKS, from the similar buttons to the cushy seats. There are also a lot of high-tech options, like a navigation system with live weather, sports scores and traffic information. Ford's new automated parking system and MyKey nanny device will also be optional, as will be a blind spot warning system.

There's a lot of power under the hood, too. While the base engine is a not-too shabby 268-horsepower V-6, Ford is offering its new 355-hp, EcoBoost turbo V-6 in it as well. That model will come standard with all-wheel drive, while that will be optional on the base model. Both powertrains will be available at launch this summer.

We're pretty impressed with the looks of the MKT and can't wait to see it in person. Hopefully Lincoln will bring out another color, because we bet the MKT looks great in black.
